The author, storyteller, and speaker Nakato—originally from Mali and now based in Sherbrooke—reveals the symbolic aspects of their masks and the role this satirical art plays in both traditional and contemporary Malian communities. A captivating talk, filled with laughter and playful audience participation, for all ages and curious minds.

A Malian-inspired lunch, prepared by the Flâneur team, will be served from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., just before Nakato’s performance at 1:30 p.m. Menu: chicken yassa, rice, grilled vegetables, dessert, and African lemonade.
