Looking to push the boundaries of your stage expression? Discover the fascinating world of Khon, Thailand’s sacred art form that blends dance, theatre, mask work, and acrobatics. This intensive 35-hour training, offered by Masq’alors! in partnership with the Conseil de la culture de l’Estrie, invites you to explore one of its most iconic roles: the monkey — an acrobatic, mischievous, and deeply symbolic figure.
Led by Benjamin Tardif, a Canadian artist trained in Bangkok, you will learn the technical and aesthetic foundations of Khon: animal-inspired movements, combat choreography, gesture language, and the art of the mask. The training culminates in a public performance, where you will shine in this unique baroque dance-theatre style.
Open to professionals in the performing arts — dance, circus, theatre — this training offers a rare, profound, and embodied experience, at the crossroads of cultures and emotions.
Join an artistic adventure that will transform you, through grace, tradition, and boldness!
