ConferenceTickets
On-site onlyMichel Cartier is specialized in traditional dance, he is founder of the group Feux Follets which was active in the 1960’s. He’s conference will be about his encounter with the indigenous nation Kwakiutl from the West Coast and his experience in the recreation of a ritual. This experience will bring him to collect other rituals and dances from his own area amongst the North-American natives, so as to create the great Canadian Mosaic, which was presented during the Universal Exhibition of Montreal in 1967 and then throughout the world. Great storyteller, Michel Cartier takes us through his research, a story full of fantastic anecdotes.
