School of mask
ExhibitionEach edition, as part of this collective exhibition, we highlight the visual art works of upcoming youth from the Eastern Townships.
A portion of this exhibition is presented by highschool students from La Ruche highschool in Magog. More than 60 masks to discover !
- Teacher Geneviève Rouleau’s group : 10 masks, mixed techniques
- Teacher Johanne Tremblay’s group : 10 to 15 plaster masks
- Néloumta Blanchet and Annie Morey’s groups : 40 cardboard masks
The other side of the exhibition is offered by students from the Cégep de Sherbrooke. As part of the Matrix Illustration in Graphic Design course at the Cégep de Sherbrooke, the students of Professor Vincent Desruisseaux had the mandate to produce illustrations of masks by different techniques of collage and digital editing using Photoshop software. The results are amalgams of portions of masks from different cultures and eras; baroque, colorful creations, which amaze among other things by the abolition of borders.
After the vernissage where they will all be gathered together, the 28 posters will be on display indoors in the village (Saint-Camille), from May 20th to June 5th.
